We believe every student in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya deserves clear, accurate information about studying abroad — without wading through outdated PDFs or confusing university websites.
What We Do
checkadmit.com is a free reference tool that aggregates university entry requirements specifically for African students. We focus on the questions that matter most:
- Can I apply directly, or do I need a foundation year?
- Is my WAEC/NECO accepted?
- What GPA do I need for a Masters programme?
- What IELTS score is required?
- How much does tuition cost, and are there scholarships?
We compile this information from official university websites, admissions offices, and verified sources — and we update it regularly to keep it accurate.
Why We Built This
Applying to universities abroad as an African student is uniquely complicated. Many global ranking sites and comparison tools are built for students from the US, UK or Europe — they don't address the specific questions Nigerian, Ghanaian and Kenyan students face:
- Do they accept WAEC O-levels, or do I need A-levels?
- Will my Nigerian degree be recognised for a Masters?
- Does this university require a foundation year for my passport?
We built checkadmit.com to answer exactly those questions, tailored by passport.
How We Verify Data
Every entry requirement on this site is sourced from official university admissions pages, UCAS, or direct communication with admissions offices. We note the verification date on each university page. If you spot an error or outdated information, please contact us so we can correct it.
