Academic Requirements
Foundation Year required via Chinese Language Foundation Year (1 year, university-run) (¥10,000/year). WASSCE accepted as O-level equivalent. HUST's large engineering campus houses some of China's best labs. Wuhan's lower cost of living is a key advantage. Strong on-campus African student community.
Fees & Deadline
Annual tuition: ¥18,000–¥22,000. Application deadline: March–May (annual intake).

Minimum GPA: 2.75/4. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Biomedical Engineering programs are excellent and taught in English. HUST Outstanding International Student Scholarship available. Silk Road Scholarship applicable.

Yes, WAEC/WASSCE is accepted as a senior secondary school qualification for undergraduate foundation entry. For Masters programs, your Ghanaian engineering or science bachelor's degree qualifies for direct admission. HUST has a strong track record of admitting Ghanaian and other African students.
What GPA do I need for a Masters at HUST?
HUST requires a minimum GPA of 2.75/4.0, one of the more accessible thresholds among 985 universities. For CSC scholarship consideration, a GPA of 3.0+ gives you a stronger application.
