Academic Requirements
Foundation Year required via Studienkolleg (Heidelberg or affiliated) (€500/year). WASSCE accepted as O-level equivalent. Germany charges non-EU international students €1,500/semester (~€3,000/year) since 2017 — still very cheap by international standards.

Can I study at Heidelberg with WASSCE?
Yes, but you'll first need to complete a Studienkolleg (a 1-year preparatory college) and pass the Feststellungsprüfung assessment exam. WASSCE alone doesn't meet German university entry requirements directly — Uni-Assist will evaluate your qualifications.
Do I need to speak German to study at Heidelberg?
For most undergraduate programmes, yes — you'll need DSH-2 or TestDaF level 4 (C1 German). However, several Masters programmes are taught entirely in English. The DAAD scholarship also includes a German language course.
