Academic Requirements
Direct entry available. Engineering and CS are among the most competitive programmes in Canada. Co-op programmes (paid work terms) are a major advantage. Apply as early as possible.

IELTS: 6.5+ overall, 6+ per component. TOEFL iBT and PTE Academic also accepted — contact admissions for equivalencies.
Fees & Deadline
Annual tuition: CA$42,000–CA$58,000. Application deadline: January 15 (OUAC deadline).

Minimum GPA: 3/4. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. Research-based Masters often come with funding (TAship/RAship). Course-based Masters self-funded.

Does University of Waterloo accept WAEC?
Yes — WAEC/NECO is directly accepted. You need at minimum 6 credits at C6 or above including English, Maths, and relevant subjects. For competitive programmes like Engineering and CS, A1–B2 grades are expected.
